Downloader

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

We built Downloader with a privacy-by-design architecture: we collect as little data as technically possible to provide the service.

1. No User Accounts

We do not have accounts, passwords, email sign-ups, or login sessions. You can use the service freely without identifying yourself.

2. Temporary File Storage (30 Minutes)

When you request a download, our server downloads and processes the stream into a clean MP4 or MP3 file. This file is held temporarily in volatile memory for exactly 30 minutes so you can download it. After 30 minutes, an automated background task permanently wipes the file and all associated job metadata.

3. Recent Links Kept Only in Your Browser

The list of your recent links is saved exclusively in your own browser using standard Web Storage (localStorage). These URLs are never sent to our servers for analytics, tracking, or profiling. You can clear this list at any time with a single click on the “Clear” button.

4. No Third-Party Tracking or Advertising

We do not sell user data, run third-party advertising scripts, or employ tracking pixels. Web server access logs are used solely for rate limiting (to prevent abuse and denial of service) and are periodically purged.

5. Contact and Inquiries

If you have questions about how Downloader operates, feel free to inspect the open codebase or reach out through the project repository.
